What do you think about Stem Cells?
Captain_Goggles - Embryonic stem cell research is important for the advancement of medicine, and it has the potential to help save many lives. I definitely support it.
Micfri - It sounds too good to be true, therefore it must be less than spectacular but I think a lot can be learned and some medical advantages will come out of it.
dacher - We won't know until we study the hell out of it. A bunch of embryonic cells is just a bunch of cells -- no more human than a flake of skin cell -- which also has all the DNA of a complete human. It hasn't even formed any nerve cells, much less brain tissue. I don't really understand the controversy since these cells where never going to be brought to term anyway.
If that is an issue, take one of the cells and freeze it again, use all others for research. That one cell is still an embryo. And really, if you believe in afterlife and the embryo did have a soul, wouldn't it be better to let it die and cross over, than spend an indeterminable time in a frozen prison until dying from natural decay.

What do you think about Barack Obama? Give Opinion
Micfri - I think he will win the democratic primary and then go on to win the general election in a landslide and then go on to be one of the better presidents we've had but he will look like he's the most amazing president of all time because of the horible act he will be following.
